Male monarch Charles Three is a 2014 play in bare verse by Mike Bartlett. Charles and his family unit gather post-obit the funeral of Queen Elizabeth Two. Charles, every bit the new king, and so holds his first weekly audience with the Prime Minister. Radio adaptation [edit]

The phase play was adapted into a radio play for BBC Radio 3'due south Drama on iii and broadcast 12 July 2015, starring the cast of the original West Finish production.[20] Information technology was re-broadcast on vi November 2016, once again on BBC Radio three.
